Okay folks, so heading into the holiday season, I think I’m going do something totally different: Take some time off away from the blog. It’s not that I don’t work to show or stuff to put up, but right now between Creature and some other projects I have going on, I just can’t do too much with such little time. So Until the new Year I will take some time off the blog and soon everything else, I may bash up some prose and art till then to post, but you guys have a happy holiday and feel free to look through OVER 3000 sketches on this blog anyway if you get bored.
And no worries I’ll be back. Because …. the filthy monkey, IT PLANS.

MAKE JOURNEYS 001 Hello from the province of Cuneo in Saluzzo in Italy. I know right? Wtf, am I doing here? So let me tell you! So It’s only been a week since we landed and more days since we left El Paso. Holy Shit Fuck If I were to tell you that it was a Lord of the Rings Level bullshit of travel, it was. 3 Flights, 2 Trains, and 1 automobile ride later we arrived. It was all exciting and Cynthia and I were smitten in our Adventure and happy but WE SLEPT MOST OF THE FIRST DAY OR TWO. It was rough, our eyes burned and itched and the JET LAG was real, like an imposing spirit of the dead standing over us draining our lives. Luckily we are now better, not right as rain but better. We did a meet and greet at the school she is performing, and that was just an eye-rolling experience of young artists with way too much energy and bravado in them. It’s bemusing at times to hear because you recognize you know the dumb shit going on in their head, but it’s better to only defer the energy blast of BULLSHIT coming at you. To stand in the way of it would mean annihilation. I have been thinking about plans and how much you can waste time making them. Other than a point-to-point sort of thing it’s almost stupid to get past that. True planning, with points and bulletins and numbers and calendars and all that is a great fucking luxury. Other than small points to hit and an overall reminders list it’s kind of fuck all to do much more. Not if you are doing things. I’m learning that. Too many times you will blow a gasket trying to fill those spots. Promotion is another. I can and will continue at least try to share and get things into people's hands and scream from the rooftops but I acknowledge that lots of it is shit. You should too. The internet has lost so much do its luster you have to find new avenues. People, mainly find people. I’m starting to make notes for ZOMBIE YEARS again. It’s funny but I have some old notes rereading my old work I left a couple of plates spinning for sure and now realizing that coming back and addressing them and then going into this.. new territory I want to go into might be worthwhile! It’s an odd thing to see Past Juan’s work and dig it but then have new tricks to make it better. This was originally started when we arrived a week back and now I'm in a 14th-century monastery trying to work with a light migraine and (unrelated) a whole production of Figaro happening in the next room that starts and stops every 5 seconds. It's ficko g got and Italian flies are resilient fuckers. I will leave you with this and some drawings and plans and hope to foll in more later. Fuck it SENS

Holy shit, this place is still around. Mind you I never thought Deviant Art was going anywhere, I think it's still a mainstay for artwork and community, but I was surprised this profile was still up (and my supper old ones https://www.deviantart.com/hammersmashface and https://www.deviantart.com/secretmedia and this one) So how have you guys been? This feels like coming back to your old high school and they have cooler stuff now. It seems like there are all these new bells and whistles all over, but wanted to see who the community if going. So many people I knew on here are gone, both form the website to even, the mortal coil. It's odd. I have really been on here since like 04 or 05 through various accounts, and seen what it can do. And after foraging in the current comic book world I'm kind in need to real internet connections, not this social media bullshit.
